Ash Wednesday - February 14. Distribution of ashes at all masses: 8am (Italian), 9am (school mass), 7pm (bilingual English & Spanish). Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting for those aged 18 to 59 and of abstinence from meat for all aged 14 and over. All Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence from meat; Ash Wednesday and Good Fridays are days for fasting as well.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, our 40 day pilgrimage towards the celebration of the Paschal Triduum, the Passion, Death and Resur rection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. What will I do to turn back to God this Lent?
